Simple Selenium-Rich Smoothie

Refreshing, creamy and nutrient-packed. This green smoothie blends spinach, banana, brazil nuts, milk, and chia seeds for a delicious treat. The key ingredient? Brazil nuts! They’re packed with selenium, a mineral that supports thyroid health and reduces inflammation, that’s a big tick for reaching your health goals with PCOS, endometriosis, fatty liver, fertility and insulin resistance. Spinach adds plenty of fibre, while banana gives low GI carbohydrates and the perfect hit of sweetness. Round it out with chia seeds and milk for protein and healthy fats, and you have a smoothie that will keep you fuller for longer. Blend and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves

  • ½ banana (frozen)

  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds

  • 3 brazil nuts

  • 1 cup milk



Method

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blitz until a smooth creamy texture.



Tip
